Staircase exposedI have a dream that keeps returning to me every now and then. In fact I think it could be a nightmare. I am in a staircase and I don't know if you should go upwards or downwards to get out. I can see several floors both up and down but no clear indication of which direction I should take to get out. Sometimes I'm running upwards and sometimes I take the route down. However, the result is always the same; I'm stuck in the staircase.
I had the pleasure to visit the photo exhibition with photos from the Immediate Family, Deep South and What Remains collections by Sally Mann. I have no doubts about it, she is a great photographer. However, I got the staircase syndrome and I did not know in which direction my emotions should run. I felt once again strongly that I'm just a human being and I can't look at things both from inside and outside. One has to decide which standpoint to take before one can let the emotions run!
This wasn't even the first time I face up to the photos. I had already got the first treatment in Stockholm, from where the exhibition came to Helsinki. Now the effect was a bit stronger but I'm now able to analyse my behaviour.
